CALL FOR ABSTRACTS, SPEAKERS AND PAPERS

The annual Survey and Spatial New Zealand (S+SNZ) Conference is the biggest CPD event of the year for surveying and geospatial professionals. It invites sharing of knowledge amongst peers, bringing together networking opportunities for all delegates, and is an essential event for your professional development and connectivity to the sector.

S+SNZ is excited to announce that the call for abstracts, speakers and papers is now officially open!

This is an opportunity for all S+SNZ members and related professionals to present their valued work at the conference.

The choice of Napier as this years conference venue couldn’t be more timely given that the city was ground zero for the devastation of Cyclone Gabrielle, last year. As such, ‘Looking Ahead in the Heartland’ refers, not just to the optimism and resilience of provincial New Zealand, but also provides an opportunity to discuss approaches to the challenges of climate change and disaster recovery around the country.

We welcome presentations related to the broad theme and we are looking forward to your participation.

The conference is being held 28-30 August 2024 at the War Memorial Centre, Napier.

You will be required to submit:

Title of Presentation I Consider a short descriptive title.

Summary of Presentation I (around 300 words) used to invite the audience to the presentation. Consider explaining what will be learned from attending your presentation and why delegates should attend.

Submission of papers closes 5 pm, Friday 8 March 2024.

To participate, submit your material to jenny@surveyspatialnz.org

Submit your abstract now and don’t miss this great opportunity to share ideas and network with your peers!
