Conference delegates that have already arrived in Auckland are invited to come down to the waterfront for this bonus event, that will be partly sponsored by the Auckland Branch. It will be a fairly casual icebreaker, with drinks and nibbles and as an added draw-card the America's Cup will be on display. There is no cost to attend. However, you do need to register below. This function is available only for conference delegates, therefore, you should register for the conference first.

On day one, you get the opportunity to see familiar faces and reconnect with your peers. Survey and Spatial NZ invites you to network with other delegates at our evening Welcome Function with complimentary canapes and beverages.
It is already included in your conference ticket, however additional tickets are available to purchase. Welcome tickets are only free with full registrations.
GSI Insurance Brokers DINNER
The conference dinner is always a highlight and this year we are proud to partner once again with GSI Insurance Brokers. The nautical theme for the dinner is a fitting one for the location of Auckland - the "City of Sails".
"City of Sails" is derived from the popularity of sailing in the beautiful Waitematā Harbour, with one in three Auckland households owning a boat. The city has hosted two America's Cup challenges in Viaduct Basin, and the Waitematā Harbour is home to the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron and Westhaven Marina, the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
Start your evening with pre-dinner drinks and feel free to dress to the theme. Join us for a great night of dining and dancing! This function is purchased separately in your conference registration and additional tickets are available to purchase.
KAIRURI COMMUNITY TRUST AUCTION

The Kairuri Community Trust is a charity launched at the May 2018 annual conference held in Nelson, New Zealand.
The charitable purposes of the Trust are to advance education, diversity, understanding, awareness and appreciation of Surveying and Spatial for the benefit of the community. To donate items for the auction, please contact us here.

Join the Hydro stream for a vessel tour while at the conference, on Friday 11 AM to 1 PM. Limited places are available. The Ports of Auckland have made their dedicated hydrographic survey vessel ACHERON available for short harbour tours showcasing the latest seabed mapping technology. This will be a chance to see how the Port’s survey team uses their new multibeam echosounder (MBES) to survey port infrastructure and support dredging operations around Wynyard Basin for AC36. The tour is open only to conference delegates and it is free of charge. Transport from Cordis Hotel will be provided.
Plan for each tour will be:
- 30 minute round trip on the busy Waitemata Harbour, learning how hydrographic surveyors use the latest seabed mapping technology to support Auckland’s marine construction and commercial port. You will need to register for the conference first and provide your registration number to take part in the tour. Once you have registered book your preferred time below.
