Call for Abstracts, Speakers and Papers
The Survey and Spatial New Zealand (S+SNZ) Annual Conference is our biggest professional development event of the year, bringing together surveying and spatial professionals from across the country. It’s a chance to share ideas, learn from each other, and make meaningful connections with people working across the profession.
The call for abstracts, speakers and papers is now open.
We’re inviting S+SNZ members and others working within the surveying and spatial professions to submit proposals and share the work, insights, and experiences that matter to you. Whether you’re exploring new technology, leadership, innovation, or lessons learned from practice, we’d love to hear from you.
The conference will be held 9–11 September 2026 at the Cordis Hotel, Auckland.
This year’s theme, “Going to the Next Level,” focuses on how we continue to strengthen and advance the profession - through innovation, leadership, cultural understanding, and professional excellence - so we’re ready for what comes next. Presentations aligned with this broad theme are welcomed.
What to submit:
Title of presentation – a short, clear description
Presentation summary (around 300 words) – outlining what delegates will learn and why your session is worth attending.
Submissions close at 5 pm, Friday 6 March 2026.
To take part, please submit your material to jenny@surveyspatialnz.org.
We look forward to seeing what you have to share!
